SUMMARY & SUGGESTIONS

The purposes of my practicum is to learn the way Filipino's teacher teach the students and to learn Philippine's lesson plan. Procedure before practicum are class observation and teaching assistantship with my student buddies and cooperating teachers. Outcomes of the practicum that i hope such are improving my lesson planning, boosting my confidence and calmness when teaching after getting to know my students (I am very grateful for the observations and teaching assistantship time, makes me feel close to my students), deeper understanding of the way of Filipino education works. The challenges I have faced during my practicum is the class time and my time management, I also need to raise my voice more considering the number of students in the class is around 35-40 students. Other than that, I have quite a difficult time managing the class and keeping the students engaged especially with diverse learning styles. Overall, I have a very blasting time teaching for the first time in my life (officially). It gave me the opportunities to learn a lot from my cooperating teachers and student buddies.

I do hope that we could have more time for the secondary education because 45 minutes is too little for challenging material and deeper understanding of such material. But then again, I also have to work on my time management.
